Welcome to the fanlisting for Kurosaki Ichigo, the substitute shinigami (soul reaper) from the 2001 anime and manga series . He always had the ability to see ghosts, but otherwise lived a fairly normal high school life... until a fateful encounter with Rukia, a shinigami who was dispatched to his hometown to take care of a wandering hollow. In the ensuing battle, Ichigo is temporarily given the powers of a shinigami in order to protect his family. He begins intense training to learn how to control his new powers, and journeys to the world of Soul Society in order to protect his loved ones ♥
